JAYE NICOLE TURNER

Experiencing the child welfare system at a young age and becoming homeless as a teen mother who then went through the experience of domestic violence and sexual abuse, Jaye shares her testimony on how she persevered and overcame each obstacle with faith.

She is a student at Franklin University, Program Developer, Youth Advocate Leader, Mentor, and Volunteer at ACTION Ohio; she is also the Founder and President of EL’LESUN, a 501(c)3  foundation that creates space to Cultivate Healing and Restoration through workshops and peer support services.

Jaye is the host of Let’s Chat, a Podcast that is dedicated to bringing awareness and transparent conversations to topics within our child welfare community.

In 2020 Jaye was featured in City Pulse Columbus and received the 2020 Columbus Next Up award, which highlights emerging young leaders,  who are connectors and ambassadors in Central Ohio.

She is passionate about foster Care, Motherhood, and Mental Health. As an advocate her goal is to not only bring awareness but to empower others to heal and live a life of restoration.
