Jaye Nicole Turner- EL'LESUN

Jaye Nicole Turner is a young woman whose life was shaped by her early experiences in the foster care system. What began as a childhood marked by instability, trauma, and feeling overlooked then became a journey of resilience, faith, and transformation.

As a young girl, Jaye struggled with identity and self-worth, often searching for acceptance in spaces where she felt unseen. By the age of 18, she faced homelessness while still trying to complete her senior year of high school. Shortly after, she became a young mother—navigating life while carrying the weight of her past and the responsibility of her future.

But her story did not end there.

In 2015, Jaye encountered a love that would change everything. Through her relationship with Jesus Christ, she found healing, restoration, and a renewed sense of identity. In Him, she discovered her worth, her purpose, and a love that met her exactly where she was—and called her into who she was created to be.

With a heart rooted in compassion and a deep desire to give back, Jaye began seeking ways to reach the very communities she lived through—transforming her lived experience into purpose and her pain into impact.

In 2019, that purpose gave birth to EL’LESUN.

EL’LESUN was created from a deep desire to be a light and voice in the lives of youth, young adults, and families impacted by the child welfare system. What started as a vision has grown into a movement centered on healing, restoration, and community.

Today, EL’LESUN exists to be the village surrounding youth, young adults, and families with the support, resources, and relationships they need to heal, rebuild, and thrive. Rooted in faith and driven by lived experience, EL’LESUN stands as a reminder that no one’s story ends where it began.
